Not only does Trish love to sell the Scheels merchandise, but she also loves to purchase it for her family. When you know as much about the products as she does, it’s easy to shop. And it’s easy to make a good recommendation to customers in the Fargo, North Dakota store.

Scheels: Describe what it’s like to work at Scheels.

Bye: Working at Scheels is like being a kid in a toy store. There are so many things to see and buy, you don’t know where to begin.

Scheels: How does Scheels play a part in your family life?

Bye: My husband and I have three children. Two of them are in school, so back–to–school shopping has become a task. With Scheels, shopping is very easy: it’s a one–stop shop for us. We get our gear and continue with the rest of our day.

Scheels: During your time with Scheels, what changes in athletic wear have you seen?

Bye: Women’s athletic wear has changed a ton with the launch of Under Armour and the technology they have developed in their product line. The possibilities of their products are endless. From your morning run in Under Armour’s Action Long Sleeve Tee and Action Tight to the football games on Friday night wearing a Tech Tee and Under Armour Fleece Hoodie, there is no need to worry about getting cold or overheating. The styles have changed, but the overall comfort is greater, and the ability to move more freely great too. And, the gear stays within the lines of being fashionable. Women want the same technology as men’s products, so vendors need to continue to put out new items.

Scheels: Are you more concerned with fashion or function?

Bye: I have been interested in fashion since I was a little girl. But I also like wearing new technical pieces to better my performance in many activities. I think all women should include certain pieces of clothing in their closets: Tech Tees, either long or short sleeve; bra tops; capris and shorts. Today, it seems that all women want sleeveless tees, long tees and tanks. The future of sportswear in women’s fashion will continue to trend towards color but will still keep function in mind.

Scheels: What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?

Bye: I get to come to work everyday and work with my passion: clothing. I like to see first–hand how styles change for each season. I also enjoy helping the customers find the fashion pieces that will work best for each activity. How lucky can I be to have a passion for clothing and get to work with it everyday!
