Mike Huether/Gunner

Gunner is an excellent hunter and family pet. He took 1st place at Sheels' 2009 Dock Jumping Contest in Fargo, ND. He is 5 yrs old and 85 lbs. This was his first time competing and trained only at our local lake, jumping off the wood boat dock.

Mike didn't say what a great hunting dog Gunner is. He loves hunting and would go all day, every day. He has a great nose and has been pointing pheasants for several years. He's a great retriever and fun to hunt with.

Thanks Deb I guess I am so used to having one of the best hunting dogs I kind of forget to mention it. I have raised labs for several years and been blessed with many great dogs but Gunner is a special dog that loves to make sure everybody he hunts for always gets a great show watching him work. I would swear he is smiling the whole time is in chasing the scent of a bird. He has been easy to train and a great joy to own.
