John's Beer Batter

Name of Recipe: John's Beer Batter

Author: John Rafferty

Difficulty (easy, medium, hard): Easy

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Makes 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients:

1 cup flour

1 tsp salt

dash nutmeg

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp corn starch

1/2 tsp paprika

1 cup beer (flat works best)

 

Directions:

In medium bowl, mix dry ingredients. Blend in beer and veg oil until smooth. Dip fish in batter. Deep fry at 375. Fillets 3-4 minutes. Drain fish on plate, Keep warm in 175 oven.
